Advent, Christmas, Epiphany at St. Mary's

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace.  - Romans 15:13

Advent through Epiphany

All through the holiday season - Advent, Christmas and Epiphany - we will be collecting non-perishable food for our Christmas Trees of Plenty.  With your generous donations, we will be building two enormous, lighted food trees in our gorgeous windows in St. George's Chapel.  In this way we can share hope and nourishment with our neighbors.

Advent One, Sunday November 28th

Morning service at 9:00 a.m., followed by Coffee Hour and Adult Bible Study

To help you truly celebrate this time before Christmas we have set up a table in the Gathering Space.  On it you will find

  • Supplies to make your own Advent Wreath. (Supplies are limited.)
  • Advent Calendars with Bible readings for families
  • Living Well Through Advent, a small prayer and mediation booklet, that is wonderful for personal prayer and meditation.

Tree Lighting and an Evening Service of Advent Lessons and Carols at 4:00 pm.
This is a beautiful way to begin the season of Advent together.  Sing songs and hymns of preparation and hope; listen to readings foretelling the Messiah's birth.

We'll start the evening with a Tree Lighting, as our beautiful property is brilliantly lit with the lights of the season.
