We are pilgrims on the journey!

Learn about the Camino de Santiago de Compostela

Using photos, artwork, manuscripts, and maps, The Catedral de Santiago Foundation has a virtual tour of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. On this tour, you can learn the history of the Camino and the network of routes that make up the pilgrimage. The tour also offers links to other online exhibitions that highlight the Cathedral of St. James.

St. Mary's Pilgrims to begin their journey on Monday, April 18.

On Monday over 20 members and friends of St. Mary's will begin their own walk on the virtual Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage. Like Jennifer, they will be following 480-mile the French Way. Unlike, Jennifer, though, they will be sharing the walk with each other.

Why I'm doing the virtual pilgrimage

I have chosen to join the group of St. Mary’s members following Jennifer on the Camino de Santiago because I am a constant walker, so perhaps I can put these miles to good use.  The Camino de Santiago is a long journey, and my years of walking 50 to 80  miles or more every week will encourage Jennifer, I hope. Walking long distances means planning and good shoes, but the act of walking is pretty joyful for me. I hope Jennifer finds a bit of joy in her physical and spiritual journey on the Camino.
